Your Attendance Will Help Us Develop Future Leaders in Our African American Community
None of our members receive any compensation for their efforts, so your presence at this event helps fund our Saturday Leadership Academy (SLA) - a program designed to develop the next generation of community leaders.
SLA is a lifetime mentoring initiative that embodies the 100 Black Men motto of “Mentoring Across a Lifetime.” SLA seeks to transform the lives of male youth from Prince George’s County by emerging them into a holistic “100 Way Mentoring” program which addresses socioeconomic challenges and fosters success. The mentoring program is anchored on building fundamentals in Life-Skills, Economic Empowerment, Education, Community Leadership and Health and Wellness.
Children’s National believes whole-heartedly in the mission of 100 Black Men – not only in developing our future community leaders, but instilling healthy habits that will last a lifetime. A healthy body and mind is critical for anyone to reach their true potential. It’s for these reasons that Children’s National is a major sponsor for this event.
